Three Forms Of Exercise That's Good For Your Heart
Your heart is the only muscle that never rests. Whether you're asleep or awake, it doesn't stop working. It keeps on beating and transports blood throughout your body. Just like every other muscle, the heart also needs to be exercised quite often. There are many forms of exercise that improves your heart condition. 1. Walking
Walking, indeed, is the best form of exercise. Virtually all the parts of your body are moved when you perform this task. Walking that extra mile after class or work everyday could serve as a good form of exercise or warm-up to other exercises that you intend on performing. Through walking, you would be less likely to have illnesses like cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes and other diseases. So start today and get off your couch, turn off that computer of yours and get a breath of fresh air. Take a walk on the park or around your neighborhood for a couple of minutes. It would add a good number of years to your life. It looks like it's quite a bargain. You could let your friends and family in on it too. 2. Jogging
There's nothing like a good jog to get rid of that "bloated" feeling. Jogging was made popular in the 1960's and was believed to be very beneficial to your health. In fact, this helps you very much that it works out your legs, your lungs, and especially your heart. Getting your heart rate up improves your blood circulation, which in turn delivers nutrients, and oxygen faster to your cells resulting to a healthy and fit you. During jogging, endorphins are also released into your body. Endorphins are a peptide hormone that is secreted by the pituitary gland and is your body's natural painkiller. Endorphins are also responsible for a heightened sense of euphoria in you. So the next time you shun jogging from your exercise routine, think twice. Jogging isn't only good for your heart, in fact it's quite good to you emotionally as well. So bring out those jogging shoes and sweat pants. It's time to go for a jog!
3. Swimming
As to all cardiovascular exercises, swimming is also very good to your heart. It strengthens your heart and improves the delivery of oxygen to your muscles. To those people who find running and jogging to be quite tiresome, this form of exercise might be the one suited for you. Swimming, doesn't just have to be an exercise, you could have fun with your friends while swimming too. It's also a very good way to feel relief from the coming summer heat. Unlike jogging, swimming doesn't put too much pressure on your knees since you're floating. Go for a swim, try it out and see if you have a pair of fins in you waiting to come out.
