Two Reasons Why Women Should Stay Active And Eat Healthy
It's no longer a man's world out there. In fact, the balance of power has already tilted so much that nowadays women and men are considered equals. By doing so, it ensures us that we have what it takes to climb that mountain, write that book, or create that next masterpiece that you have been working on for so long. Here are a few reasons why we should take extra good care of ourselves.
1. We need to stay on top of our game.
Being competitive means working real hard. To do that, we need to stay in shape by having enough exercise and getting enough vitamins in our diet. It is simple really. What we do in our free time affects what we do in the office as well. So if you're a bum or a couch potato when you're not bringing home the bacon, some part of that would reflect in your work. Try living a healthier lifestyle. It will give you more energy to perform your work and everything else in between. Such exercises like walking, biking, jogging, and even dancing can be a very welcome addition to your daily routine. These would reduce the risk of you having such illnesses like heart disease and some cancers. It would also prevent you from becoming obese. Even little things like walking that extra mile to work or taking the stairs instead of the elevator (that is if you don't work in a high-rise building, because that's a whole lot of stairs to climb!) could help you get in shape.
2. You need to be a good example to your children.
If you're a mother and you're raising children, it is very important for you to set a good example to your kids. Not all learning is done from school. In fact, a lot of your actions may influence your children at some level. Make sure that your children take after you in the right way. If you eat right and exercise regularly, it would lead you to having good health. And being as such, you would feel a lot happier and enthusiastic. To cut a long story short, you're just like a painter. You can paint whatever you want in your canvas, but you cannot guarantee that what you paint would be beautiful unless you have some skill at painting and have a good imagination. So paint carefully because your children's future is depending on it. Always remember that learning starts from home.
